They sink but are retrieved along the surface like a richter plug. Looks exactly like an injured bait fish and now they come in chrome. I use either a white or glow one until the sun is on the water then switch to chrome for maximum visibility. I've hooked everything from a 500g tailor to a 14kg longtail on these. Available from 21g up to 4oz. The skinny ones are awesome but seem to be limited in availability.

You might be ok but it's a decent crosswind. If the swell is low try and keep the line in the water to avoid massive arcs that make it hard to hookup. A forum member cleaned up there this week.

Hi guys. Just wondering whether tomorrows light SW winds will be an issue for finding gutters at gunnas tomorrow arvo. I'll be having a crack to relax mind after spending morning beginning to pack my mums rental up. Mums Parkinson has progressed so she will be living with my sister who is in west suburbs. Anyway her rental is close to the area so want to hit the beach for a flick of lures and bait strategy. TIA for any replies

My thoughts are with you guys and your Mum. My Mum has got Parkinson's as well, so I do understand and appreciate what you guys are going through.

Well done to your Sister too, it's not easy but great to hear that you guys are a family helping each other out.

Thanks for your thoughts. Managed to get there this arvo. Caught 2 in 2 hours using proper and pilchard. Size was 30 cm and 45cm. Wind was a light SW which was ok

With fish fighting over 1 lure, who cares if the wind was parallel to the shore. So that's how an assist hook should work. :banana:

Found them after the rocks towards the Schank.
