Warneet/Cannons Creek soft plastics
Long time reader first time poster. Any point flicking soft plastics around these areas? Not far from home but haven't seen much to suggest this method would work. Cheers

Plague amount of toadies in warneet means your sp doesn't last very long. They work very well on the trevally though if you don't mind losing a few. Avoid anything with a curly tail

I've seen a big flatty taken on A 6" prawn SP from the warneet pier. Also mulloway in there but I've not caught one yet. Good luck and report back.
Cheers.

Thanks guys. I'll target flattys with a paddle tail early Saturday and let you know how it goes. Can you walk around the waters edge or is the pier the place?

go speak to Al at the warneet boat ramp shop and he will help you out. He has caught a few 50cm rock flatties off the pier this week

Re: Warneet/Cannons Creek soft plastics
SP's are always worth a go, specially on the flood tide.
If you have access to a small boat it will open up a lot more water to you, specially up into the creeks, but if not, there's still a lot of water that can be covered landbased. Just be careful if you walk out on some of the sand flats, they're not as solid as they look!
EP's are always on the cards, particularly in the upper reaches of Cannons Creek. Flatties on the sand flats and channels at Warneet, Trevally will hang around structure of any kind so the jetties etc are prime spots, and as Skronkman said, the ever elusive Jewie is known to frequent the area.
Good Luck.
