Arrived at the beach 4.30am to be met by choppy conditions (shite!!) 10-15 knot SW, high tide about 7am. Fished from 5am to 9am with all action mainly in the dark 5-6am. Landed 4x KGW 32-42cm, 1x flathead 32cm and 1x Leather jacket 28cm (bugger bit my hand and did it hurt). Pipi and squid used as bait, water surprisingly clean of grass but hard most of the time to keep a tight line. Thought today was the day to land a pinky but still none around. My mate Brownie landed 2x KGW 32 & 38cm and dropped a few as well. As we left at 9.30am the wind had dropped and the water was calming right down, typical. Another productive fishing session away from Melbourne and we went home again content. :super: :dinner:

Very nice catch! I was hoping to catch some whiting and possibly silver trevally too. Any chance tell us where or which beach in western port? Do u need surf rods for that location? Thanks.
