This will be getting spooled with some 30lb Tasline when I get home
I almost bought the tatula hlc but got a td sol instead. The only difference wAs $100 and the sol had corrosion resistant bearings.. not that it'd see salt anyway

Great buy tho! Paired it with??

I had a look on the Shimano fishing Australia website and there she was brand ambassador.

For the price I paid for the reel I couldn't pass it up.

Got it paired to a T-curve Flight 6-10kg spiral wrap.

Not sure on the details of the sponsorship maybe it's just a few stickers occasionally.

got no idea mate.
but in the breaming world, i know you have to do comps, and do brand promotions, write articles/keep up to date on social media. but that doesnt mean you get sponsored automatically haha, theres quite a bit more to it.
also i know they dont have more than one sponsored angler in the same areas.
so for eg. south east/peninsula would have one, western districts would have one, and CBD will have one (for Melbourne) for the one company. multiply that with the amount of fishing companies around and you have quite a few.
lot of them also usually work in the tackle industry (tackle shops) for a start

Yeah makes sense. Just figured if you're a brand ambassador then you wouldn't use a direct competitor. I could understand having a non competitor brand but it's like being a ford racing car driver and having holden stickers on it. Just a bit strange. Anyways a bit off topic
