Re: Covied safe app
We’ve already given our lives over to the tech giants so what is one more app going to do? Might help the government track Covid a bit better, might not. If Mark Zuckerberg covers his webcam then I think that tells us everything we need to know. The question is what can you really do about it?

Re: Covied safe app
Big yes from me. I want to go fishing again.
Listening to ABC news reporting that gov already using Google data to monitor movement of people....hmmmm. Already giving google and apple more than I am going to give my own government. Already supermarkets and banks know more about me than I do as I dont often use cash.
Seriously can not understand why people are more trusting of foreign owned companies with their data than their own elected government.

Because it isn't foreign owned companies that put you under house arrest or fine you for going for a drive or sunbaking at the beach, or God forbid go fishing.

You think it's funny but what isn't funny is that Australia's coronavirus tracing app's data storage contract goes offshore to Amazon.

Umm... You do know Amazon have a large data bank located in Sydney and have done for a few years? As does Microsoft and a few other multinational tech companies.... All because bezos is a yank doesn't mean he'll be getting Aussie data piped across the Pacific clogging up infrastructure he needs to keep his flagship yank Amazon purring nicely
