Do Charters Use Burley Pots?

Just wondering if any Charter operators use burley pots over the snapper season?
(I find them annoying & seem to have more success throwing stuff over the side....thinking about leaving the pot at home this season)

Never seen em in ppb. But for bait collection or whiting in Wpb yes.

On the boat I help out on, mostly no. If you have 8-10 people fishing each with two baits, between lost baits and dropped baits plus juice and bits from the bait board, you effectively are burleying . Putting more in usual attracts rubbish fish.

This. Even in Westernport just chuck over the mashed up scraps after rebaiting, cut up the frames of filleted fish and chuck them over. Even on whiting unless it's a very slow day. Otherwise its rubbish fish city. But when bait collecting a pot on the bottom filled with anything and everything is invaluable.
