Hey,
Im new to this forum and just want to use it for some advice and hopefully some good tips.
Wanting to head out to the Yarra Valley for some trout fishing. Has anybody been out that way recently, and if so did they have any success?
Looking for some good "day trip" fresh water spots around 1hr from Melbourne.
Cheers,
Chris

I have only been there fly fishing once and did not have any success. With this hot weather you are going to want to look at fishing more mountain streams as the water will be cooler and there will be a lot of bugs around.

Basically all the streams around there have plenty of trout. Haven't been for a while because of the hot weather but they should be good again in a month or less.
