lilydale lake

i've heard they are draining lilydale lake does anyone know to what extent and whether this will effect the fishing.

Yeap near enough to bone dry. I saw some guys recently trying to fish the remaining pools but they were not getting a thing.
One guy was telling me that while they were draining it, the stream below the dam was fishing a treat, but that seems to have backed off now as well.
Only thing I have thought, but haven't had a chance to try yet, is to fish where that stream hits the Yarra. Maybe a chance some of the lake fish are hanging around that area.
