Another day and another session at Lilydale with no end results.
Threw around a range of Tassie devils at the dam wall but nothing even looked like striking. Spoke to a few of the bait soakers working around the lake and they were have on joy either.
A couple of warm days coming might help produce some results.

Word is a certain group of people have taken well over their bag limits since the lake was stocked.

If you are chasing trout, warm weather will not help as they prefer the cooler weather. Redfin on the other hand will probably respond better to warmer weather.ChrisD wrote:A couple of warm days coming might help produce some results.

Re: another zero session at Lilydale
I have seen many people take more than their fill from these stocked lakes. It is just not right, but they are seldom patrolled.
It's a shame, particulaarly the stocking before school holidays when the kids head out for a chance to catch something, and instead you see peolpe walkingg away from a session with ..... and I have seen it ...up to 20 fish. I don't have an issue with taking a few fish home, but it doesn't hurt to release some back.
Can't stop the selfish people.
In these stock lakes I only practice catch and release.
Thanks for the heads up Jim -maybe we will break out the spinners instead of the Tassie devils over the next couple of days
