I caught this carp in the lake off the rocks just near the outflow on a scrubber on a running sinker rig. Put up a decent fight on 6 pound mono.

has fishing been affected ? I have never been to this lake before and looking to explore it with inflatable boat for fishing....
I have never fished there but I know they stocked it after refilling. I would assume that they gave it a good clean out when it was drained so I would asume it is better to fish now.

Great carp boosta as well! Frowned upon by most people is the old carp but can't deny its ability to fight!
thanks

Around November last year, It was after they drained it so there are still some big ones in there. And I come in from the carpark near the bowls club and down past the skate park.

Good to hear that you saw some. We saw a water rat in the creek and that was about it.
If they are there it is just a matter of persisance i guess.

I just do the bread under the float.
No doubt there will be eels and reddies too.
I only really go there for the carp as its just up the rd.
If I'm going to target other stuff there are better places I fish.
