As far as i know/read I think one bloke got a redfin.
Pretty much all reports from what ive read is its a real dud place.
full of weed where you can only fish etc.
hope its starts getting better some how.

so I fished Devilbend today. No fish! like everyone said the place is full of weed which made it quit hard throwing lures. I tryd out theirs new snagless soft plastics that my brother set me from Darwin and they worked great, I was able to cast over the weed then retrieve back through it with out getting snagged. in my opinion the best way to fish there is with fly rod or floating a bait. But there is big fish to be caught probly by better fisherman then me, I spoke to the park ranger briefly in the morning and he told me that recently he has seen a few people that have caught some pretty big trout. He also told me that there might be plans to open up more of the lake to fishing which could make the place actually worth going to but that could be years away.

cheers matt..

yeh it would be a great place if they opened up the whole place. ha we spent most of the day looking across the lake just thinking of how good it would be to fish on the other side! A yak would be great there just being able to fish 20ft out on the other side of the weed would make a loud of difference!
