Lilydale lake serves up donuts
Hit lilydale lake this afternoon. Just over two and a half hours throwing tassie devils, soft plastics and powerbait. All we managed to get were donuts.....
Believe it was stocked again in the past week, might take the newly stock fish a few more days to settle in. Plan to get back out there monday.

Bad luck Chris, how long should you wait for the newly stocked fish to feel at home

Approx one month+ , even though they will feed almost immediately on food occurring naturally . They must become adapted to their new environment & once this happens they will begin to feed or bite harder , as they become territorial & confident of their habitat .

It will take a while for the trout to start taking lures, Powerbait under a float will do the trick. Goodluck

Re: Lilydale lake serves up donuts
I had a quick 'google' but was unable to find details. Rainbows are usually stocked into the 'Family Fishing Lakes' and Browns into the larger lakes.sasquatch972 wrote:what was is stocked with? Rainbows? heard sometimes there have been browns put in there but unsure.
thanks
