Only other question would be which lake should I fish as I've looked on Google maps and it looks like there is a few??

Fished there the last 2 days. on day 1, they were feeding on the surface becasue i was throwing bread 2-3 meters from the coast. had bread on the hook and after they (3 carp) ate the bread, one took the hook. 5 mins to reel him in as I have light line, but stupid me, realized i left my net at home as i got him to the edge of the water, tried to get him out (he was atleast 60cm) the line snapped.

went back the next day (yesterday Thursday 3rd April) and caught a 53cm carp. remembered the net this time, and landed him.

That was caught using corn on a basic hook with sinker casted 4 or so meters out.

went back at night after sunset. there was a lot of surface activity, used a hopper popper, had a couple of bumps, but that was it for that. I had raw chicken on other rods and they were pulling in a few eels.

Good fun

The lake i used to fish now has a "No fishing" sign, complete bullcrap if you ask me.

Ashhroyan, look up Moondarra drive in berwick. Theres a few lakes there.
