If it were an expensive rod I would.
I don’t think it will make any difference.
:victory:
The rod was destined for the bin as I’ve got better ones now.
But now I’ve got one to lend that special friend who has no gear when he comes on my boat ha ha

Yes I can relate to that being a sparky myself

How many times have you soldered or crimped terminals etc on and then realised you forgot the shrinkwrap.
I've lost count how many times I've done that.

Anyway. If the guide is supported on both ends as you said then it wont make much difference.
Good you gave it a go. And if its putting a smile in your face everytime you see it then maybe it was meant to be ...

Try feeding a 300m run of mains out of a hole in a ceiling. Running it out. Then feeding it to the next point. Only to find you’ve gone under a sprinkler pipe instead of above it. Face palms on a grand scale. Haha

Bloody IKEA ... Its pure luck if you manage to negotiate this hell on earth without getting a divorce, and then you have to begin the assembly process once you get home. I always manage to miss a step and have to pull it apart when I'm nearly finished.
F*%k you IKEA, you're worse than the introduction of the Cane Toad.

Ok so here’s proof that I can be “less attentive to some details” (some would say STUPID) :victory:
One pic is a rod original with the gold trim
One pic is my first attempt, complete with the “witches middle finger” of my glue affect :notworthy:
It’s dried up nicely and it’s better than it was previously, I hope, even though it’s the reverse cowgirl version.
And oh yeah Billy Thorpe is a legend.

That should be fine mate.
Just a tip.
Before you apoxy ontop of the thread put same masking tape where you want the apoxy to finish. Makes it look nicer for a easy fix and once dry slowly put masking tape off.
