Hey Nude if you got the time do it yourself. I've done it.
You can get cheap or good quality on Ebay for example:

Use a good quality nylon with epoxy glue and it's solid for years.

Armadale angling does a great job but might be a bit far for you. You could try kolliou fishing in sunshine.

I just dropped some rods off with a bloke called Jeff Hohenhaus. He is located in Oakleigh and comes highly recommended.

If you want his details, pm me and I will pass them on or you could look him up on facebook

I don't mind doing the odd one myself but it is a lot easier if you have the rolling machine so the epoxy dries uniform living out west I rarely go to the eastern side unless it has a boat ramp. Thanks for the responses sunshine is not to far from me.

They the 'zirconium' guides? The rings themselves are good enough. It's the frame thats crap and prone to rusting and finally breaking. Use them until the frames corrode then replace

The subscriber who had the reverse Auction for the surf rod last year is a Rod builder, he should be able to help you, I think he posts as NCR1 or Neophyte if that helps and I think he has a built a salmon surf spinning rod for Ducky in the past, but I might be wrong on that one, hope this helps?
