I've built my own rods. Great experience and very relaxing. Get a rotisserie motor, add a 1/4 socket extension and if I remember correctly a 3/4 19mm socket.
You need 2 sets of rollers. 4 wheels, I got from a 2 dollar shop and fit them so they can roll the rod while the epoxy cures.
