I agree too Marty. Its everything about that place. The national park.. the river.. wild brumbys running around.. Its an awesome place.barra mick wrote:completly agreeMarty.A wrote:Some quality fish there Anth and great report and pics  ,if anyone is serious about trout fishing they should give the Eucumbene river and lake a go once at least once as they will not regret it.
Im going to try the lake this year as well as the Thredbo river.
A couple mates fished Tantangara dam and got a few nice fish also

the trout are alot smaller than uce but often you catch 20 plus trout in a session.
there is creek you cross on the way in thats full off little browns and brook trout.
you need a light rod and light line but its great fun.

You're spot on bm. My mate only spent a couple hours there and he got a few nice fish. Most were average size but he did pick up a 48cm fish as well.barra mick wrote:tantangara dam is well worth the effort.Sinsemilla wrote:I agree too Marty. Its everything about that place. I wasn't aware there was brook trout in the NSW fishery. I've always wanted to catch one. Not to mention an Atlantic salmon....Must try to pencil in a trip when the winter is over.....
