when you have onshore wind you need to use the wash to swim your bait out and downgrade on your float. I usually get a cigar float and cut it in half to make a smaller one.

Going by the damage on the line, some of the sharks could of been over 2.5m long

Not everywhere, more so northern nsw.
To be honest i think there is a good amount but not many people target them. I only saw one other group fishing for mulloway in the whole week i was there. But the mulloway "season" hasnt even started yet!
It usually starts around May when the mullet run through.The mulloway are usually bigger aswell. Then the locals fishos will be out
wish they were that easy to catch in vic, especially western port.
Tell me about it! We could of had a total of about 15 mulloway for around 20 hours of fishing for them!
Still not a bad success rate

Also i was meant to go up North around this time but my mate that lives in the area said there was heaps of rain LBG season has been average. Will go next year

They look even bigger when you get back to Melbourne :rofl:
Biggest was 68cm and 2.5kg Average was around 50-55cm
