Oh man, you're living the dream!
While the wind is still blowing 50kmh NW here in Melb.
Halco 40gm?
Do you use wader or short and barefoot?

Re: Merrimbula/lakes entrance
On a rough day, I'm scared to fall with wader on and get washed... But in freezing cold weather, no wader means frozen hell.
How deep you go into the water to cast? A knee?

Re: Merrimbula/lakes entrance
Nice work LX. I've been meaning to head down to gunna for a spin sesh.
If the swell is that big and it's crashing onto the beach so much so that you're scared of getting washed away you probably shouldn't stand too close anyway.
Cheers, Anth
If you have a belt on over your waders they can actually be pretty safe. They actually act as a float when you tuck your knees in if you're washed away. Otherwise, Just have one clip on or none of the clips/shoulder straps done up so they are easy to slip off.Seb85 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:43 pmOn a rough day, I'm scared to fall with wader on and get washed... I know what you’re talking about Seb! I usually cast from the waters edge mate. I find I’m able to cast far enough with a 40 :thumbsup:Seb85 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:43 pmOn a rough day, I'm scared to fall with wader on and get washed... But in freezing cold weather, no wader means frozen hell.

Well done mateLightningx wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 7:40 pmSo we arrived around 3 and checked into our Air BnB and after a short rest from a 7 hour drive decided to go for a short spin session. Turns out it was a good idea as we landed a couple of beauties. Both taken on 40 gram Halco streaker metals
Hopefully some more action tomorrow
