Thanks Broomstick, venturing out to another small river/stream this arvo in an area I haven't fished for around 5 years..

So will be interesting to see how much it's changed, hopefully it will give up a fish or two.. pretty tough going to get to the river too..

cheers

Sounds as though Adrian has a pair of Korkers

I want to get a pair in the next week or so.
Cheers,
Neil

meppstas wrote:No worries Tom, and mine gets used any where from 3-5 days a week as well and it's lasted very well..

And for around $18-00 for a good quality net, can't really get better than that..

cheers
Adrian
Spot on Adrian. I just ordered one which will arrive in time for a trip up to the ovens river later in September.

Thanks again mate.

You're welcome Tom, you won't be sorry with it..
Yes spot on Neil, I use the Korkers wading boots with the interchangeable soles... wouldn't use anything different either..
I've got the Redside using now and Green back boots (unused), spare pair that will be used in a few seasons down the track.... When I first bought them they came with the rubber & felt soles.. then I purchased the spiked felt soles later on.. A pair of boots last me just over three trout seasons which I feel is pretty good for the amount of times I'm in a river over a full trout season, each of the spiked felt & plain felt soles last full one full season .. I rarely use the rubber soles, though I should wear them while walking to a river and also once out of the river as not to wear out the felt soles.. got them off Ebay.. really have to shop around for the best prices from the USA.. they do have sales too which could be on now.. not sure.
cheers

What waders do you use Adrian?

I'm leaning towards the Simms Freestone but I haven't really made up my mind yet.

Neil

I wear the Redington Pro Sonic breathable waders, have found they do a pretty good job also last me just over three trout seasons.. which os very good seeing as I'm in the rivers 4-6 days a week on average throughout the trout seasons.. slow start this year due to injury..
cheers
