Adrian - Awesome report as usual and another broken lure.
Are the lures that have broken both Diawa Brown Ghost??
Suggest that you check out your remaining lures by holding over a strong light source and see if you can see any cracks / fractures - Seems to have broken in the same place as the last one - Could be a manufacturing.

Thanks guys,
Paul the record and damaging floods were back in June 2016 and it was the Mersey River that had the most destruction & all it lost that seasons spawn... That river fished well early in the season and has mix of small and medium to large trout in it.. The majority of th foliage wash washed away leaving it very open now and with the dry Summer, low clear water I've found that river to be a little on the tough side throughout the Summer.. The upper reaches of the Mersey has fished fairly well with some reasonable size trout being caught, this river which has two lakes (Rowallan & Parangana) on it is also regulated by Hydro Tasmania but they're running it at a minimum flow for one reason or another.. I'm sure there's still some nice size fish in the Mersey River as there's a lot of river that can't be accessed due to not being able to get through the deep gorges, a kayak would be ideal for getting into many areas that are like this on the river.. Where as the Meander River which never got the damage like the Mersey did still has plenty of foliage along both sides of the river and has a good regulated flow from Hunstman Dam and some of the fish were a little on the small side early on they're now beautiful solid well conditioned trout from 14" upwards..

cheers
Adrian

Thanks Russell,
I've checked all of them for any defects Russell and couldn't find any at all.. That lure that broke had also had a lot of use and has caught quite a few trout too, it's had a bit of a hiding actually.. The break was close to the same area of the other one too, they often bounce of an exposed rock in the river from time to time and that doesn't help either..
