Giant herring huh? Well I’ll have to have a crack!

I got one 8hr guide session booked in the tweed river.. hoping to find a toga guide n in between eating n relaxing I’ll be throwing whatever I got on me in the canals I’ll happily take whatever as 1) I don’t do much estuary fishing and 2) when I do I don’t really do that well

I think the giant herring are also called Milkfish.

You catch em on bread and fish for them the same way you would try and catch a mullet. They do get fairly large though.
There is always more to learn , fish to catch , places to see and friends to make.

Surely you’d be able to get on some plastics or small hardbodies? I’ve kinda lost all interest in baitfishing.. unless it’s with my nephews for carp.. even still they prefer casting for Redfin.. happy to get whatever I can get tho I’m really excited! No fishing in the pool apparently.. which I thought was odd until they told me it was filled with over 500 tropical fish I can swim with

I reckon a 3” plastic might be a little small for a bull shark.. if not.. I will be sure to re spool before I leave! Hahaha
