Yes Kinchant Dam was chaotic this morning but I mean this in the best possible way. It was chaotic in an AWESOME way. The barra were chewing their heads off and my mate Paul and I had an absolute ball up there.
We had a cracking 6 hour session, landing 14 barramundi between the 2 of us and missing a bunch of other good fish – one of which was a metre plus fish. Our fish were all between 45cm and 84cm and Paul actually won the session with 8 fish as opposed to my 6. It was an awesome way to spend a few hours.

NOTE: I will re-iterate the fact that the closure does not include impoundment barramundi as they are land-locked and cannot access the salt to spawn. These fish can be targeted all year round.
