I figured you blokes shelled the prawns??? makes sense to put them on whole though. Sweet vid vikodin, just watched it on vyak

I shell half of them from the head and cut the tail fin off so they sit better on a circle hook and don't spin in the current.
Most of the people on vyak don't use the whole prawn but I do.

Thought I better add this as I got a message from someone and when reviewing the vid myself I see how it can look that way.

I use the whole prawn.... And thats bc i dont catch much so can afford to use the whole prawn.... Lol...

I tend to use half the prawn meat per hook -- thats on a 6/0 but theres no right or wrong way if you are catching fish

Depends what I'm fishing for and where.
In this case 5-8kg rods
