Post by Ajantis » Mon Nov 02, 2015 9:12 am

Hi Guys,

First Post on here, so apologies if i posted this in the wrong section.
I can only fish land based and i have heard about the warmies or something like that ? Can anyone advise me where it is ? I keep thinking it somewhere near the power station in williamstown ? A google map would be good to see where it is ? pleaze.

Cheers
AJ

:welcome: to the forum, the Hotties is a popular spot to fish. It can get crowded when the power station is pumping hot water in winter, but it doesn't fish very well as it once used to in the 70's / 80's.

No prob's, also the piers around Port Melb e.g Lagoon pier, Kerford rd are good places to try for Snapper etc

I fished the Hotties since the early 80's, the area has been refered to as the Hotties by many local angler's in those days. From what i remember, it started to be refered to as the warmies from the late 80's - mid 90's, for many (myself included) it will always be the Hotties.

It's in the docklands you should be able to see it from the freeway it's a giant tower it has red and white stripes at the top. Big snapper around the mate :water:
