Long time no hear guys, so yesterday i came to geelong and thought "why not have a fish off the pier" so i grabbed some bait and a couple of rods and went down to the pier. I went 3/4 down the bridge to a sand flat, using the paternoster rig, i dropped it in the water using pipi's as bait. After a minute or so, i was on to my first ever whiting, i was ECSTATIC, my family were eating ice cream so i was the only one to enjoy that moment. After that, in 15 minutes, i managed to rack up a total of 7 whiting and 1 small trevaly, thats alright seeing as it was my first time fishing for them, as the sun died and the wind started blowing hard, the whiting seemed to disappear so i headed off, but if anyone one of you have any tips id be happy to hear them.
By the way, what are the best times to fish for them, and weather?
Cheers, Dean. :water: :fish22:
