Flinders and mornington piers

Post by ante552 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 11:02 pm

Went to give flinders a try this arvo.
Got a couple of squid. Not much size so i let them go.

Then 500 people turned up so i left.

Went to mornington got a few pinkies and a small flathead released. The bites where good at dark.

Watched this chaps rod get dragged in and whatever took it was with force.

Anyhow lady luck was on his side i ended up snagging his rod 10min later and boy was he happy.

After that had few good hits but no hook up.

I was at flinders a while back and i snagged a scuba diver, thought i had a realy good snapper at first because it had realy good head shakes turns out it was a mans head shake. It mustve hurt him cos i locked drag and yanked the bajeezus out of the thing untill he came close to the top and i saw colour. Quickly cut the line and ran off, never returned. :(

I got him on a piece of chicken, i think he was a protected species and so i made quick release. It was on a high tide at the time with the new moon, thats when these species roam around.
