Eel Fishing in the Outer South East (Melbourne)

Hey guys

Im new to posting on this forum so bear with me :-D i was wondering what the best spot or spots for catching short finned eel would be? As im from Carrum Downs id natrually like to go somewhere close by home but if not im willing to travel a little.

Upstream Patterson river probably the closest. Or downstream after heavy rains

What about Karkarook Creek, a bit more upstream where its more clearer like Eel Race Road?
