Suburban lake

Post by BIG GAV » Wed Jul 22, 2015 6:48 pm

Hit a local lake today with maggots and landed 8 rainbow trout 1 Redfin and a massive eel! Surprisingly no carp! Kept one rainbow released the rest here are some photos (Redfin and eel jumped back in the water before I could get my phone out)

All fish were very healthy.

Yes pitty a few weren't bigger but happy to catch trout nonetheless! Got the eel as I was packing up, for a moment I thought it was a massive trout.. But no. He put up a sold fight tho was as fat as my wrist n close to if not a metre long

Na it fired for an hour and a bit at one point I cast one rod n reeled in the other but the bite was pretty short don't sell has elf short those new light rods should be great there! Especially if u get a big eel!

I'm 100% certain there's carp in it I won't rest till I find one! Although I said the same about Caribbean gardens and I haven't been back there in a while now..

Nothing like a mid-week session, especially when it brings in a decent haul! Great work Gav!
