Reddies on lure from the Yarra this afternoon

Post by ChrisD » Mon Mar 13, 2017 4:34 pm

a couple of little Yarra River reddies on spinner.
Went out this afternoon, minus bait, in order to force myself to use lures......I was just about to give up when these two came in one behind the other........then I snagged and lost the spinner.......but two fish are better than nothing for the afternoon.
Couldn't get any other results on other spinners, HB's or SP's.
Still yet to crack the code for using SP's in the Yarra but was nice to get a result with the spinners.

Well done mate  I've found the same thing when reddies are about of late that they love hitting spinners and won't even touch my hardbodies.

You used to be so cool. I may have changed my target species lately, but I wouldn't be caught dead using a lure*

*May or may not be trying to get my first Bream on a lure

I'm still cool.....
What can I say - the call of the dark side was just too strong
Mind you with all those bream you have been getting.....won't be long and I sense you will have a cranka crab on the end of your line.

I have to admit to owning two of them and a dozen saverage crabs as well.........can't say I have cracked teh code to using them but they are in the tackle box when I am chasing bream.
