Only a single bite on the Yarra

I took a few hours to sit by the Yarra this morning and only got one bite on worms. :(











Lucky for me it was a good one! My biggest carp to date.

walked by a fish monger in Northland last night and noticed that they have whole carps up for sale, for $9.8/kg :(

Fishmongers in the markets often have them. Wonder if they are recreationally caught, or commercially????

I could have cashed it in? I ended up giving it to another fisherman who was going to cook it up.

Hey i am thinking about going to the yarra on Saturday any tips?
Also nice carp seems fat and full of eggs! Great job!

Carp stink and am told they taste muddy.
But, what about their roe ??????
Bream roe is very tasty, if a bit rich
Murlz won't let me try it

Anybody tried ???
