Chris

Well done on the rainbow! The Yarra really is a great fishery, once you get to understand its idiosyncracies.

What did you catch it on, bait or lure?

Best Wishes

Thanks all
It was caught on a bunch of good old compost worms - I have completely given up on lures and sticking with baits.
It was caught between Yarra Glen and Millgrove.....know that is a long section of river, but reluctant to be too specific on which section.
I have been working this section of the Yarra quite a bit over the last month or so, water level is stabilizing and running clear...well Yarra clear that is.
If you are prepared to walk, bush bash and jump some fences there are some really nice, peace and productive sections along this stretch.
As always keep a watch for snakes.....there are plenty of them. Also watch out for bloody big bull ant, seems to be alot of them around of late......those buggers hurt when they sting.
