Clearly he's got no idea how diverse the skill set of Victorian fishos is.
And this: "Mr Julius said the plan was destined to fail. He said they should have concentrated on stocking the pond with.... trout."
Seriously? Trout in a 26-32 degree pond??
The dude, it would seem, has no idea of the requirements of trout, and quite possible anything south of the Tropic of Capricorn, and assumes "Mexicans" are equally ignorant of everything to the north. Moron.

I read the first half and thought some decent comments were made but then Mr Julius comes in and made some completely biased and untrue comments, a bit cringeworthy if you ask me. It's like Winga or someone of the like saying Territorians can only catch baby barra. smh4liters wrote:it's the NT News, they're just taking the p1ssQueasy wrote:The only embarrassment is the inward looking, parochial character of the NT News and its editors & contributors.Bayrock wrote:Lol what an embarrassment

If you take it as anything more than a bit of friendly **** stirring you're reading the NT News the wrong way. It's just what they do.Hammy Y wrote:I read the first half and thought some decent comments were made but then Mr Julius comes in and made some completely biased and untrue comments, a bit cringeworthy if you ask me. Looks like their news might just be a little more laid back, and the journos appear not to be of the opinion they are world influencers. Nice change

Re: Hazelwood Barra update
Fisheries have culled 400-500 fish that were going to die according to Travis Dowlings comments this morning.
Re the power station closing it was well known that the power station was either going to require a complete refurb or be closed.
Sadly the owners have chosen the second option.
Hopefully most of the fish survive the winter as there still could be a great 6 months of fishing down there.
