Doubt it's a great time for a favourable announcement.frozenpod wrote: ↑Fri May 10, 2019 5:24 pmDoubtful as the state government makes announcements every week.
My local seat has become marginal for the first time in decades. Looks like the libs might loose and they have promised funding for over 600 mil in the local area. There was almost a daily announcement with funding for a new project.
Interestingly they have only made about 4 billion total election promises which shows how keen they are on keeping this seat.

Any time is a good time to show off what they are going to do.

Many of the 'fisheries' media releases appearing here seem to be coming from the minister's office, rather than from fisheries themselves. You can tell by the contact details.

Don't you just love the "strategies" that are put out to bamboozle voters. Great if the Ramp gets done, but also not knowing the area , , , , are there more pending concerns that need to be addressed.

On another note, as soon as I noticed that the local council is involved, I wondered how many thousands of dollars will be wasted on consultants fees preparing a business plan?

Rates councils up there with banks, politicians, insurance companies, power companies and terrorists.
The way I read it Jim, $420,000 is in the "Planning" stage alone , , , , AND , , , ,the comments in the release of "to start planning" , , , , gives the notion that there is going to be more money thrown at the "Starting/Planning" stage as it states it's only the START of the planning stage , , , , before any headway is made in the "building/making stage".fishingvic wrote: ↑Thu May 09, 2019 11:49 am
Minister for Fishing and Boating Jaala Pulford today announced $420,000 in funding to start planning and design work to upgrade the boat launching facility at Warrnambool’s Lady Bay.
Amazing how snouts in the trough are only there when it is someone else's money.

Might be biased by fmd corinella is in need of an upgrade. Without seeing figures it would have to be one of the most used bay ramps around Melbourne? Close to one of the worst I've used though

Which is the worst ramp is an interesting question.
It would have to be Toora completely unusable at any tide.

Really? That's great news. I launched at newhaven pretty much all season. Where did you see this? Any idea what they are planning on doing?

There you go.
That's a long, long time for it to be closed. Newhaven and rhyll are going to be ballistic over snapper season. Think I'll give WP day fishing a miss this year. Either fish nights or just go to Welshpool instead
