PATTERSON RIVER BOAT RAMP NOW FEE FREE

Parking and launching fees were removed from Patterson River boat ramp earlier this month giving recreational water users even more reasons to celebrate the start of the boating and fishing season.
Patterson River, which was made free on 1 September, is one of Victoria’s most popular boat ramps and it joins three other boat ramps in Port Phillip and Western Port that were also made free on the same day at Stony Point, Warneet and Werribee South.
These new fee free boat ramps join over 20 other ramps that have been made free over the last few weeks across Victoria thanks to the government’s commitment to make boating more affordable and accessible.
Earlier this month, Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Fishing and Boating Jaala Pulford announced the removal of parking and launching fees at the Warmies and a range of others including: Frankston (Oliver’s Hill and Kananook Creek), Altona, Rhyll, Newhaven, Inverloch, Cowes, Portland, Corinella, Lake Nagambie, Fishermans Beach in Torquay, Port Welshpool, Tooradin, Lake Eildon, Mornington Peninsula ramps including Schnapper Point, Fishermans Beach, Rye, Safety Beach, Sorrento, Hastings, Tootgarook, and Dromana, as well as Lake Boort, Tchum Lake and Loddon River at Bridgewater.
Removing boat ramp parking and launching fees comes as boaters and anglers across Victoria look forward to better weather and getting on the water to cast a line or cut through the waves.
In another win for boaters, the government has pledged $47.2 million in the 2019-20 State Budget to implement a raft of other recreational boating improvements including upgrading six priority boats ramps and reviewing boating infrastructure management arrangements in Port Phillip and Western Port.
Better Boating Victoria (BBV) is overseeing the delivery of the government’s boating commitments and is working hard to remove parking and launching fees at all remaining publicly available boat ramps, which include Mordialloc and Queenscliff.

Dunno how its socialist when users already pay for the infrastructure. The money isn't coming from everyone else.

If anything the fee paying structure was socialism where bulk of the fees were spent elsewhere....

I'm joking. It's a direct reference to people screaming about all politicians being liars and Andrews being a socialist before the last election, who are now strangely quiet when someone from the leftish side of politics is actually doing what they said they were going to do.
