On a boat @ Rhyll
Been out on a boat at Rhyll for the last two days.
Seem to only be getting small gummies and small fatties.
Any advice? I'm currently out on the water. Launched from Rhyll ramp.
Cheers

Re: On a boat @ Rh
try mcaffies reef , or just past red rocks in close for ting and squid is worth a go.
what bait . places u fished?
:cold: SCORPiOOn has like 4 post and members on here don't like it if u give out to much info to new members :shocker:
I was waiting fora response from scorpions to before giving more details.
I.e I launch Anderson rd ramp ,cowes west, i head past what I call red rocks(turbulence in water when passing the point)once you get pass the red rocks u should see little boats in close tied Up I fish just out out form boats for ting and squid.
You can fish straight out from here in deep water a hour either side of tide change, u don't to head to far out as it drops off quickly, currently is heavy out here try fish slack water.
I would not recommend heading past the next reef/ point as gets quite shallow and lots of turbulence and only for experience.

Do not. I repeat do not try mchaffies reef.
It's a very dangerous spot, excluding middle bank it's probably the most dangerous spot in wpb. If you don't know any better bowl don't suggest it.

Ever actually fished mchaffies reef? You get a decent tide and you'll have 1.5m breakers there on an otherwise glass out day. It's not a place to fish mate. If you are experienced and know where the breakers are you can push up close to it but not on 90% of days.

Re: On a boat @ Rhyll
If you know the place then you should know its not a place you tell people to go without giving them fair warning of the possible dangers. The water comes up very sharply from 17m up to 3m. That's a lot of water pushing up and conditions can change fast.

Fishing around Mchaffies is illadvised even on a calm day.
