Hi guys,
I've been in New York for about a month and I tell ya what, have I been hanging for a fish! As much as I loved it over there, the local waterways are far from pristine:
Behold in all its beauty, central park lake. Apparently they get small mouth bass in here, but I'm a little dubious. It was full of turtles though:
Anyway it's safe to say that I was well and truly missing the beautiful waterways back home. So the day I got back, I went and fished the docks (hah)! I got off the plane Saturday morning, caught a cab home, dumped my bags and jumped straight in the car with my rod. It was a perfect day down at the docks and I was full of confidence. I missed a couple of good bites and was starting to get extremely frustrated, when something finally stuck:
A cup of dirt! And that was all I caught hah. So it wasn't the triumphant return to fishing I had envisaged, but it was still nice to wet a line.
Thanks for reading!
