Hi its Paul from Lusaka - thanks for the great post and sorry I only just noticed it. I agree that Tigers are a very powerful fish and so hard to hook. We get rid of trebles and use very sharp single hooks and that increases the success rate a lot. Using light line is also a problem as it is so hard to set the hook without some grunt!

Did you see the episode of River Monsters where he was chasing the Tiger Fish? It seemed like they were really difficult to find, but you guys obviously got onto a good patch.
