Back from my charter and I'm a bit disappointed.. It was pretty bloody rough but started off ok by hooking up to a 15kg wahoo in the first 20mins while trolling on the way to the GT spot which threw the hook boat side as the skipper was about to gaff it, I was pretty shattered haha.. Arrived at the GT spot and threw poppers for about an hour for GT's and dog tooth tuna and got donuts, shattered again.. After my arms were too sore we made a half n hour trip out to a FAD. On the way the it was so rough that as we came down off a big wave and hit the water, it shorted out all the electrics on the boat, skipper tried twice to replace a fuse but it blew as soon as he put it in.. So no sounder, GPS, radio or cruise control for 3 hours.. We managed to find the FAD because there was already 1 boat there that we could see in the distance.. Once we got there we trolled around for marlin, yellow fin tuna, wahoo, Mahi Mahi, basically anything we could find.. Turns out all we could find was 2 skip jacks :( .. Apparently no other charters caught except for one who landed a single wahoo.. Anyways I'll be trying some LB fishing while I'm here and possibly will go on another charter when we fly to our island resort New Year's Day

Hey mate. Sorry to hear your charter didn't go as we expected! :(
I reckon it will be worth your while (if you can scrape up the extra coustas) to head out on another one. I was hoping to see a report of some truly giant fish being landed!!! Better luck for next time mate!! I haven't even been fishing on my holiday as yet so you're one up on me either way!!
If only I could fish more

Bad luck milk man sorry to hear about the troubles. Hopefully the next few days fishing can make up for what you missed out on today.
