A GREAT MORNING
Your Zambian correspondent had a great morning on the Tilapia with plenty between 28-30 cm. I finally ran out of worms after 27 keepers! There are plenty of worse ways to spend a morning!

Good work Paul, :a_goodjob: cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: A GREAT MORNING
Thanks for the report. What are Tilapia like to eat? I saw thousands of them when I was in Hawaii a few years ago.

Re: A GREAT MORNING
These are locally known as Red Tilapia and are probably the most common species here - and my biggest of this variety is about a kg but they grow to 3 kg or so. Yellowbelly Tilapia (also called Nemwe) grow to some 4 kg and my largest is 3 kg so far. I have attached a pic of my largest Yellowbelly and a couple of smaller cousins. They are very popular to eat and have firm white flesh and are easy to fillet.
