Re: Fishing license extensions
We lost roughly $4.30 each that's directly tied into fisheries regulations. It's really not worth the hassle of whinging to the politician muppets over.
That said, I'd be very concerned about how many people are accepting of no extensions if the money actually went into the general revenue pool instead

Re: Fishing license extensions
Not even 1 pint a the pub, I've already saved heaps. 1 stocked fish extra
Mine you, as of Monday, I don't need a license in any state & I've still got 18 months to go on my license.
No more sitting in Victoria and having to pay for a NSW licence
Yes it's always annoyed me
Gra
Edit - still need a license in Tasmania (discounted)

Re: Fishing license extensions
I love this game.
Yearly onliine fishing license is $34.95.
Divide by 365 days of the year.... is 9.57534246575342 cents a day.
Multiply by 8x7 for days in 8 weeks.... 56
Means we're out a whopping total of $5.36. Significantly less if you've got a 3 year license.
I suspect setting up a process to refund that money would actually cost more than the amount you'd get back.

Re: Fishing license extensions
Sucked that we were unable to fish though it gave Fisheries a chance to upgrade infrastructure, stock species and do some research they potentially couldn't do otherwise. The fish took a well deserved break too, we've got to treat those we care about, haha!

Good to hear Nude up
Take it easy with the recovery. Maybe use the good arm/shoulder to hold/lift the rod and the injured one to wind the reel.

Re: Fishing license extensions
I've got a three year license. I'm guessing most members here do. Given the price point, I wouldn't bother. I kind of like that the minimal fees cover stocking places I occasionally fish (like Devilbend). In the words of a Disney princess, let it go.
EDIT
Also, man, we're in the midst of a pandemic. While we've seemingly dodged the health bullet, there's so many people out of work, and many of those in work are adjusting to vastly different conditions. We had -- and have -- bigger fish to catch. And on that note I'm just happy I can go out on the pier. That first pinkie, undersize and all, was totally worth several weeks worth of 'wasted' license fees.

Re: Fishing license extensions
Fair enough the consensus is that ,no one seems to mind..
I believe that it they should honour the time paid for that it.
It's expensive enough to go fishing out of a boat with a motor on it.
