cleaning fish at carrum..
Do you guys clean, scale, gut and fillet your catch on your boat before you return to ramp?
Reason i ask is, as there is no facilities to clean em at ramps like most other spots..
If you take it all home and do it there, its a week of fish in the bin..
Interesting to know what you all do..

You can not fillet your catch on your boat even tied up to the jetty I have been told off for this and had many email exchanges with fisheries regarding ramps with no cleaning tables. I purchased a fold up table with a sink in it I take this with be to ramps where there are no tables and just bucket the water to the table. I keep thinking of getting a battery operated hose .
You can gut scale and remove the gills just not fillet.

Cool idea with table but is that going to get you in more of an argument with the people who are collecting ramp fees...

Re: cleaning fish at carrum..
In PPB we gut, gill and scale on the water. If I wanted fillets I wouldn't hesitate to fillet a fish out on the water. Don't keep tiny fish. So fish like snapper for example blind freddy could see that the fillets come from a snapper. The fillets of an average PPB snapper would be damn near 28cm long. 2 fillets = 1 fish.
