How do I stop my bait from spinning?

Pilchards, Garfish, Berley, Whitebait, Fresh Squid, Tuna Oil, Chicken, etc

How do I stop my bait from spinning?

I heard for pillies, you have to chop the tail off on an angel to stop it spinning in the current. and whats the deal with spinning baits, why dont fish like em?

They don't like it cause it doesn't look natural.

Pillies shouldn't spin in them current if you rig them up straight.

you dont have to cut the tail off, you need to make sure if you are using a two hook rig that the bait is sitting nice and straight. The section of line between the two hooks should not be tight

but why do i chop the tail off at angel? why cant it be straight

Dont need to cut the tail off.
if you do it doesn't matter if it's at an angle or not.

Unless you mean when you use half pilchards?
