It's part of another ad/notice/warning on the same notice board. I'd say the text explaining it is out of the screenshot.

I know cheater loves them in the north half of the bay, but you rate them that highly? Ive never used em, might have to give em a go.4liters wrote:Good to know. I'd hate to think what would happen to my catch rate if I had to stop using them.poodoo wrote:Yup qld. The king, tiger and river prawns are also local in AU as well.4liters wrote:I'm pretty sure the banana prawns you buy whole from the deli section are Australian. In any case they should be able to tell you where they're from if you ask.

Yeah, I reckon they're great. Prawns and squid are the baits I use for most of my fishing, and prawns will usually catch something I can cut up for more bait if I need it.Scraglor wrote:I know cheater loves them in the north half of the bay, but you rate them that highly? Whiting and flathead love them and pretty much everything else will go for it if they're in the mood. Gummies and snapper in the muddy bit of westernport can't get enough of them which is why Cheater uses them.
I've posted this in another thread but if you ask the person at the deli to get the still frozen prawns out of the box in the cool room they will have been frozen from the time they're caught up to the moment you take them out of the bait box. Each time you need to peel a new prawn you can chop up the head and shell to use a burley.

Re: warning over prawn use
Transoms rot and need to be replaced. Not a big deal most boats will need to have it done once in there life. Although the story with it sounds like bull.
Repairing them from the outside is a common trend but I cant work out why. Better to do it from the inside.
