Sand/Beach worms

Post by KillerJoe » Wed Jan 06, 2016 9:42 pm

Just wondering if anyone collects their own sand worms? Do we even get green/pink head worms on vic beaches? Do bait shops sell them and how much do they go for? I would rather try my hand at collecting my own sand worrms as it looks fun and near free bait is always good.

We used to catch our own worms on south coast of NSW, havent had a try at it since moving to vic.

Im sure that there must be beach worms that you can collect. Its relatively easy once you get the hang of it.
Havent picked up any in bait shop so cant help ya with the pricing mate, couldnt imagine they would be cheap though.

They are incredibly difficult to find in VIC although they do exist.

You're better off pumping Bass Yabbies if you're chasing live baits
