Use landing/dipping net

Post by ingeer » Tue May 23, 2017 2:47 pm

Hi Gents,

The other day i was bored and decided to get some live bait for mulloway, then i took a landing net and went to Williamstown area trying to scoop some little mullet or shrimps. An old man approached me and seriously told me that it is illegal to scoop little fish or other living things... I was like :o_0: :o_0: Well i only lived here for just 10 years so not knowing all the illegal things, the fishing guide does list the dipping net as legal equipment so i guess it could be ok to do it?

Any advice?

Cheers

Baitfish is ok.
You cannot scoop shrimp anywhere inside PPB intertidal zones. ok in rivers.

Last week I was pumping yabbies. A fuming fat lady came to me and told me i cant keep the big yabbies as they are still small and undersize. :o_0: :o_0: She probably thought those were lobsters she can eat. i just told her she can call the police if i am doing something wrong. She left with her sagging ass. Bloody ignorant greenies.
