G'day guys,
I much prefer using fresh baits but can't always get them so I revert to the pilchard. How does everyone rig their whole pilchard and half pilchard so that they don't spin in the water? Sometimes they dont spin and more so they do and I have to re do it or cut bits off it etc it's driving me bonkers. Cheers

I cut them up into thirds, and then throw them over the side one by one
Can't stand using pilchards any more. If I can't find fresh bait I use frozen squid that I have caught on previous trips, but that's just me
