I like adding some aniseed to the bread mix.

PooDoo, i have used that aswell.

CurryPowder is also used for making up bait for mullet.

Question, what do you guys use to break apart your bread .. i am thinking of investing in some sort of low end mulcher. I tend to make burley each time i go out and a mulcher would be good for bread and also frozen bait.

I have an large chest fridge outside and its literally full of fresh bait which i am collecting more than im putting to use!

Firstly the bread crumbs need to be really fine, I put mine in the blender.

There is "Stimulate" that can be bought from Rays Outdoors, the burley works really well. There is also a liquid available and I think a few drops added to the burley should be really effective.

Another thing that could be used is mashed potato.

i use bread crumbs, a cheap can of tuna in oil, and tuna oil with just enough sea water to make it nice and thick, not runny. seems to work well for garfish, mullet, tommyrough, and salmon. every once in a while i even run a few old pilchards though a meat grinder to throw in the mix. the key is to berley heavy at first to attract them then just put out a little bit at a time after to keep them around.i also saw a guy using corn flakes mixed with canned dog food one night and seemed to be doing really well with keeping them around. had hundreds of garfish around the spot he was berleying. but he was alos using a bright work light while he was fishing there.
