garfish , where can I catch some???

Hi all, ive Been trying to find these garfish mornington peninsula way, anyone heard or knows where they are biting?. I wantoto take the little one float fishing, usually hit portsea pier/ mt matha rocks, trying to get some info before travelling 2hr to get there in a couple two weeks time..cheers

I got mine in geelong,will try willy today or tomorrow as i have seen reports..
To many boats kayak, helicopter , catch a fish,catch a fish

I will be trying willy break wall area n ferguson st pier and last but not least point gellibrand area... ill let u know ...i got 90% of my gars last time on a sabiki bait rig n only one gar on the float...

On the 3 SER fishing show they mention Beaumaris pier. It is available as a podcast.

Saw some swimming around frankston pier.

I've seen heaps around the yak at ricketts and beaumaris.

I got some from Preston market on Saturday; fresh as, and at $14 a kilo a bargain when you factor in time, bait, travel, freezing and chance.

Still, catch and eat is the ultimate; can't wait to get back into it...

Yeah got some last week $14 kg bargin. No wastage, one backbone tiny guts, not like cleaning a squid.lol i just want want to take the young one, something different and he loves eating gars the best... :a_goodjob: cheers guys
