First time Kayaking

Post by Dr.Shinasi » Tue Sep 02, 2014 11:32 pm

So, I'm thinking of taking my kayak out for the first time this week...as I've never taken it out before, was contemplating either heading out off werribee or kirks point.
Any pointers or advice on location?... thinking about just drifting for flattys, maybe try for some squid?
Had a look at the weather and Friday looks promising...thoughts on it being good conditions for yaking??
Cheers!

Cant help you on the location as I don't head around to the west side of the bay , however as your first trip on the water are you up to speed with re entries in deep water

Please have a read of these before heading out

kayak clothing -- the bay is still cold and if you end up in the water the right clothing could save your life
if things go wrong and you end up in the water
